Travel Between Ireland and Vietnam

Visa Requirements

Irish passport holders require a visa to enter Vietnam. Your visa should be obtained before arrival in Vietnam. This can be done in two ways:

- or you can collect your visa on arrival ONLY IF permission to enter Vietnam has been obtained in advance. The inviter or host in Vietnam can obtain permission for you to enter Vietnam by sending a request and information to the Immigration Department of Vietnam. Once the visa is granted, you can either pick up the visa at the airport upon arrival or the visa can be entered in your passport at the nearest Vietnamese Embassy.

If you are not resident in Ireland or in Britain, you should contact the Embassy of Vietnam in your country of residence.

There are no direct flight connections between Ireland and Vietnam. A large number of international carriers fly to and from Vietnam.
